The authenticated deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app, send a request from the email address attached to the account to the monitored FamilyCellMap privacy and support contact at avititievsky@gmail.com. Use the subject “FamilyCellMap account deletion” and include only the account email address. This inbox is monitored for deletion requests. The operator may verify control of the account before deleting it. Do not send a password, social-login token or reset code.
To keep your FamilyCellMap account while deleting data in the app, open Settings, then Privacy dashboard, and use Delete my location history or Delete my cell tower data. For a broader partial-data request, email avititievsky@gmail.com from the address attached to the account with the subject “FamilyCellMap data deletion”. State that you want to retain the account and identify the categories to delete. You may request deletion of attributable location history, cell observations, exact Wi-Fi contribution samples, place/geofence visit history and SOS history. This inbox is monitored for data-deletion requests, and the operator may verify control of the account before acting.
A partial-data request retains the account, profile, memberships and messages unless you ask to delete the full account. Learned communal cell/Wi-Fi map aggregates that no longer contain an account ID or attributable contribution may remain for the retention periods described below. Encrypted backup copies may remain until normal backup rotation; they are isolated from normal product use, retained only for disaster recovery, and remain subject to the deletion request if restored.
Messages authored by the account are stripped of text, location and media and become content-free tombstones. Full-content forwarded copies of those original messages are also tombstoned. Tombstone rows are normally removed after 30 days.
Unresolved safety reports, their operator audit, user-supplied reason, and an immutable message text/type/time snapshot remain available for review, but links to a deleted reporter or subject account are anonymized. Terminal reports and their evidence/audit are deleted together 180 days after they are actioned or dismissed. The service removes the account's pseudonymous samples from its bounded Wi-Fi learning reservoir and recomputes or drops every affected access-point state. Communal cell fingerprints and learned Wi-Fi AP/sector map aggregates that then contain no attributable raw contribution may remain for up to 180 days after last confirmation; stale unpublished cell-tower aggregates may remain for one year. Published k-anonymous cell-tower map aggregates without account IDs may remain as learned map data. Database access to deleted media is removed immediately. Every affected object key is placed in a durable deletion queue in that same transaction; removal is attempted immediately and retried hourly until the object store confirms deletion. A storage outage may therefore delay physical removal, without losing the deletion request.
